Felix Severin Mack

Felix Severin Mack was born in 1974 in Southern Germany and started his creative career as a painter at the young age of 17, working in his own studio. His work was represented by the gallery vier5 in Frankfurt until 2000.

He then developed into set design and had his first experiences at the National Theatre in Stuttgart under the guidance of Mascha Braun and Otto Kukla, followed by his work as a film set designer at the Film Academy of Ludwigsburg. Meanwhile, he started his academic studies as a product designer at the Academy of Arts in Stuttgart under the renowned designer Richard Sapper.

During that time he took on the art director role at the culture magazine Kulturkalender and worked as a designer at the leading architecture offices Zipherspacework later transformed into if…group.

After his graduation as product designer he founded FRAUMAIER, his privately owned and independent label for contemporary design, which is represented in more than 25 countries and 350 retail outlets.

The same year he also founded an interior design studio together with his colleague Alexander Seifried, whilst teaching from 2008-2011 at the Academy of Arts in Stuttgart in the architecture department, working under professor Peter Litzlbauer.
